Hello,

As in tittle.
Can finale be used together with other programs that need audio?
I have the feeling finale tries to use audio exclusive.

My system is Windows 10
Finale version is 2014.5

It's not about Finale, it depends on which driver for your audio device you use. If you use ASIO, it's usually one application at a time. If you use Direct Sound, other applications should work also.

Hello,

I know about ASIO and it's limitations.
But I also have a feeling that finale does tax the direct sound drivers very heavy.
When I start up finale and another audio app is using the drivers then finale does take a very long time to start.
Who has the same experience?
