That's lots of wasted time and energy - especially when the computer has 6000 Finale files on it - as mine does!
Has any brillaint person come up with a version of the Finalescript Plug-in that can search the complete hard drive and replace all Finale files with 2008 versions of the files? Even replacing the existing file versions in folders, as is now possible, is still an hour or two process for me.
Please post the script if you have it. Thanks. | Back to Top

You may try this script:
batch process subfolder open finale files save close
Choose your main finale files folder (HD root directory?) as the batch folder... and go out for long dinner! Robert | Back to Top

Take care. Scott | Back to Top

You see, Finale 2008 will NOT run on the latest greatest Mac Pro (Dual Quad - 16 gig ram, etc.) which is my main computer, but it will corrupt a file if you try to open one by double clicking. I've been in touch, but at this point, either I'm the only person using the program with the computer combo, or something is wrong on this end. | Back to Top | | Forum Information | Currently it is Tuesday, December 19, 2023 8:00 PM (GMT -6) There are a total of 403,820 posts in 58,165 threads.
