I've been given a finale file to do editing work on, and my client has put in *some* courtesy accidentals using the speedy entry tool. As well, some of them are unnecessary, and some of them have parenthesis and others don't. I'd like to clear all of the manually forced accidentals, and then run the cautionary accidental plugin. Any suggestions? (I've tried "check accidentals").

Best,

James Carson

James,

You should use Tobias Giesen's TGTools: Music> Accidentals…> Unfreeze existing accidentals.

You can get it here: http://www.tgtools.de/

I have TGtools, and had tried that function, but I forget to select check the check accidentals box. Ahh, you learn something new about TGtools (and finale) every day!

Thanks,

James
