I am looking for a new computer to replace my aging laptop. I am intrigued by the new Surface mainly because it has a stylus. I think using a stylus would suit my personal style of inputting.
Has anyone installed finale on a Surface or another tablet that allows use of a stylus? Does it work? Are there any issues?
Thank you. Dave

Bear in mind that Finale is not designed to take advantage of a touchscreen or stylus input. So you would have to use it in exactly the same way as on any other computer. Entering music with the pointer is extremely inefficient and tiresome: the keyboard (computer keys, +/- piano keys) is still the best way.

The Surface range has not sold very well. MS have sold fewer than 1.4 million units of RT and Pro combined this calendar year, and they've had to knock $150 off the Surface RT to shift the stock (but you can't run Finale on the RT model, you need the Pro).

I've used Finale on a standard Windows tablet PC. It works, but as Wiggy said, you quickly miss having a keyboard!
