I have no clue what you are talking about. Perhaps a more verbose question would net an answer.

If the composer says in effect to the performer: "I do not care whether you perform my music or not," we cannot argue the matter. But if he indicates: "I want you to perform and respond to this music," then his fundamental duty is to write his music so that it is accessible to interpretation. I think I understand: if you post a piece of music on the Finale showcase or somesuch, how can you tell how many third parties have downloaded it?

If you are posting it on your own web site, then your host should supply you with the tools to ascertain this sort of thing.
