I am unable to “Save” an updated file using the usual procedure, i.e. “Save” from the File menu or its keystroke equivalent. The only way I can save an updated file is to “Save as” under a different file name. Had this same problem last year, but was able to fix it after receiving sage advice via this forum. Unfortunately, I have forgotten the solution, so would appreciate a reprise, please.

Using F2002 on PowerMac 9500/G3 upgraded.

Try rebuilding your desktop. (Hold down cmd-opt while restarting...
