Hi all,

Is it possible to have a score with chords that contain fretboards on one staff and no fretboard on another?

Finale 2002b, MAC OS9.1

Thanks for any inputs.

Select the chord tool, then go in manual input
mode, then double click a the chord's fretboard diagram and
uncheck the show--> fretboard.

You can also control-click the chord (within
the chord tool) and choose to show or
hide the chords,fretboards and other
things on an individual basis.

To hide all fretboards in a staff:

Mass Mover Tool

Select the staff

Mass Mover menu > Change > Chord Assignments...

In the Change Chord Assignments dialog box, un-check Fretboard.

Thanks guys, that really did the trick.
What do the dashes in the Change Chord
Definition dialogue boxes mean.

I've seen them in other dialogues where
all boxes have a dash in them as oppose
to a check or an empty box.

Thanks again!

A dash means "no change for this option".

You can also see the dashes in the Staff Styles dialog box.
