Firstly, 2014.5 is a completely separate program. You can have it and 2014 on your system at the same time.
Secondly, it's free.
Thirdly, it fixes the problem that you want fixed.

So, why don't you want to use it?

Unless I'm wrong, the problem comes from the fact that promethee uses 2014d in French, and that 2014.5 was never/will never be released in French by IPE Music (F). No upgrade possible, and v.25 is still waiting to be released in French.
His only choice is to switch to the English version... (2014.5 or v.25), an effort that he is apparently not ready to make.
I'm glad I'm using the English version for many years.

Ah fair enough. Though these days, localization of software is a doddle and should be done by MM, or relevant party, in short order.

MM has a small staff, and they don't consider a multilingual Finale to be a priority. Too much work, and it would slow them down. They thus gave a license to translate Finale to local distributors, such as (a.o.) Klemm (Germany), IPE Music (France).
I can't speak about the German version (still no 2014.5, no v.25) but the French localisation is far from perfect (missing versions also, and some bad translations).
Obviously, MM doesn't keep an eye on what they are doing. If they would, they would start worrying about the image and the credibility of Finale.
