Hi,

I noticed that in Finale 2002 (also a and b update), when I compile Postscript listing by Acrobat Distiller, Engraver Slurs are not in correct position (2-3 cm lower or upper!!!), if starting or ending note or both have articulation with "Inside slurs" option activated.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?!

Thanks!
Gemini.

I've had this problem, too. The only way I've been able to fix it is to turn off Engraver Slurs when I go to make the EPS, or PDF, or PostScript listing. This can, of course, cause more troubles than its worth; why bother with Engraver Slurs if they go psycho in the distillation process?

Now, it's been established that the PostScript problems are likely the result of an Adobe/Windows conflict, and one of the top gurus at Adobe is looking into it.

But this? Is it a Font Annotation issue? Inquiring minds want to know...

Comments, Coda? (Or MakeMusic?)

Cheers.

The strange thing is that I can use Engraver slurs and they works fine. The .PDF file that I distill are correct at all.

I have composed some score example to study the problem and I noticed that an error appears ONLY if starting or ending notes of slur have an articulation applied with "Inside slurs" option activated.

If this option is disabled, the .PDF file is correctly compiled, even with Engraver Slurs activated.

If this option is enabled, the .PDF file is incorrectly compiled, even with Engraver Slurs deactivated.

The Inside Slur option for articulation has nothing to do with Engraver Slurs. That option works both for Engraver Slurs and "old" slurs.
