We would need a MOTION CONTROL for Up bow and Down bow .
The app could easily recognise the direction a bow is moving.
Instant feedback when the direction is wrong is needed.

Also you could implement customize function for bow direction, but
most importantly the direction tracking system. Almost every laptop computer has
a web cam integrated so that could easily be used for traking the direction of movement.

At the start of session you just have the bow check just like the mic check. The player has to be positioned so that the webcam can see the bow.
Too much of my work as the cello teacher is telling people to play with the right bowings.
Please let me know if you consider this essential; in my opinion at suzuki book levels 1-4 this sure is essential!

And of course there should be some default logic for bowings, like an upbeat after pause or at the beginning
should be up bow.

Make sure you make this a feature request and send it directly to smartmusic. The forum doesn't always work for feature requests.
