Finale 2014.5 Windows 10 on Lenovo T420.

Currrently I have a chord symbol that does not appear on the chord chart, but when I click on the location, or use the delete button, it does show up. As soon as I move the cursor off of it or continue using the delete button to the chord symbol prior to it, it disappears again.

I have tried to delete it by clicking further along the line and backspacing past it, but this "ghost" chord symbol will not go away. But it's still there somewhere in the background - I repeatedly try to delete it, and the same thing happens. It appears when I click on it or delete past it, and then disappears. On the next page, the same chord symbols appear, but in that area this particular symbol is fine. Chord symbols in measures surrounding it appear to be fine.

Anybody know what is going on? It's weird and frustrating.

Is there a Staff Style applied to that measure? We might need to examine the file to further troubleshoot.

No, there is no staff style. The whole piece of music is essentially a lead sheet and it seems to be just that one measure. It is measure #12. I opened the file and cleared staff styles in the document but the problem persists.

I have uploaded the musx (or at least I think I did - went through the motions but I don't see an attachment here).

File Attachment :

Looks like measure 12. I was able to return things to normal by using Clear Selected Items in the Edit Menu. Choose Chords and Fretboards. That should fix things.
