Hello, I'm posting in order to know if anyone else is having this same issue, which came by after installing Win 10 in my computer. It happens with Finale 2014 (uploaded to d version and the problem is still there).

Basically the problem is that shortcuts as for example using number 4 and click in order to put the "forte" when selecting the "mf" tool, now wouldn't work. The only way to make it work is to do it on this way -> keep pressed ctrl + 4 and then click. This thing is driving me crazy because makes everything slower for me. And also there are some of then which are also other stuff as for example ctrl + 1 would zoom, or ctrl + p (in the articulation tool) would also print and won't allow me to put the "pedal" symbol.

Thank you, I hope someone knows how to fix it.

Seems to work for me. Hold down the 4 and click gives me an "f"!

If this worked in Win 8.1 and now doesn't in Win 10, you might want to report this to MakeMusic.

I had windows 7 before. Where should it report this anyway? This thing is driving me crazy. Also I have to change the size of the expressions (on the expressions windows) each time I open it because it won't remember the last zoom out I did.

Are you clicking the number on the numeric keyboard? Is NumLock on or off?

Thanks for your answer. Yes I am doing things exactly as I always did. And btw I have been using Finale for yeeeeeears as a professionnal engraver. I never saw such a thing!

"Fun" fact: my computeur is a Dell laptop (M4700) with ALPS touchpad, and the problem is "solved" when using a separate mouse. It's as if ALPS drivers won't allow to use simultaneously the keyboard and the touchpad unless you push down the CTRL button. :/

I doubt this is a Finale problem. You need to look elsewhere. My Finale 2014d works very well and exactly as it should with Win 10.
Maybe it is your keyboard driver that needs updating or is not compatible with Win 10.

I am using a Dell desktop and MS keyboard and mouse.

Music makes the difference!
