Hi,
I am working with a composer who has Finale 2001. I have 2002 and can read his files with no problem. Is there any way for him to read my files through 2001?
Thank You.

He can download Finale NotePad 2002 for free from Coda's website. NotePad will open Finale 2002 files, but has very limited editing tools. If he needs to make a lot of changes he'd better upgrade. Or, you could install Finale 2001 if you have it. There's not really a problem having multiple versions of Finale installed. As a last-ditch effort you can just work with MIDI files if none of the above options work, but this generally opens the door to lots of problems.

NotePad works great for reading and printing files. I regularly send stuff to a person who has only NotePad. But, as Anon says, editing capabilities are limited --- actually, I would say closer to non-existent when it comes to scores.
