How is it done. I can get it to look right but I can't get it to act right( that is for it to slur.

I am having the same problems with pedals too.

you can slur across a system break simply by dragging the slur to the next line.

or you can do it in scroll view, then switch back to page view.

personally, pedals are easier to mark in scroll view.

slurs I've never had an issue with in page view.

basically ALL Garritan sounds, plus XSample Chamber Ensemble.

Do slurs play back any differently from non-slurs? Are you confusing slurs with ties?

HP does interpret slurs at least for some instruments (or at least it sounds that way to me).

yes HP interprets slurs for all instruments that have a "legato" function.
most of the Garritan instruments do.
