Yes, you can create your own SmartMusic Accompaniments. idea  You can even make accompaniments that will appear on the screen in SmartMusic, so you don't always have to dig out the sheet music.
how do i make accompaniments that will appear on the screen ? i have print music 2004.

Hi Danny,

I'm not sure how well it works with PrintMusic 2004, but when you click to save a SmartMusic Accompaniment, you will see a button called "Select File for Display in SmartMusic." That should let you pick a file to display. Since the 2004 line of products were released, there have been major changes to how all of this works in SmartMusic. The full version of Finale and Allegro were modified in version 2005 to take advantage of new features (such as assessment), and in general as I understand it these versions are supposed to work better with SmartMusic as far as onscreen music goes. But you can definitely try it out in PrintMusic 2004.

PrintMusic does not support the display feature. You would need Allegro 2005 or Finale 2005 or later.
