I have a measure in bass clef, 4 beats, all eighth notes. I need beats 3-4 notes to move into treble clef. I cannot use layering in the treble clef as it is already an octave higher (the treble clef symbol with the little 8 above it) I followed the instruction on inserting a clef midmeasure where I have already entered the notes and it stated HIGHLIGHT the notes where the clef insertion should be. IT keeps highlighting the entire measure. HOW do I do this then?
Thank you.. | Back to Top | |

This might be easier to accomplish from the Selection Tool. When the partial measure is highlighted, you can switch to the Clef Tool.
It might also be easier to do from a high zoom percentage.

I forgot to mention that.. so there isn't an ALT key.. HOWEVER.. I cannot figure out how to partially highlight the measure.. I have tried all of your suggestions and it simply keeps automatically highlighting the entire measure.. I am at a real loss here.. how do you drag across the measure.. I have tried everything possible.. again. it keeps copying the entire measure.. | Back to Top | |

BTW: You can start by clicking anywhere outside the staff/measure, either above or below the staff/measure, and drag select in either direction, up/down, or right/left. It all depends on where you start.
