Hi,
I have many old music files on a program called Atari (Notator) and I am constantly frustrated that I can't reproduce a good copy of the music using Finale. I currently have an imac and run OS 9.1. If there is anybody that has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi Glenn,

Do you have any documentation on the Notator file format? If so, perhaps there's a chance that the files could be converted into MusicXML, and from there into Finale. MusicXML import works with Finale on Windows now, and we're busy on the OS X port.

maybe you can look at www.music-atari.org
i'm not sure there is a solution on that site, it's a long time i was there, but you never know

otherwise, i would prefer the musicxml-export&import way, like michael said

grtz

Notator, produced by eMagic, of course was the precursor to Logic, so it might be a similar file format... :-)
