I am trying to script a fix which involves a change of key to one section, and then a transposition of another section whilist keeping the key the same. The menu item "Transpose…" seems to have no affect when I run the script. The manual helpfully says you can transpose to a key (+ attributes), but I can find no list or syntax for the attributes! Have I hit a dead end? Is it not possible to simply transpose a few bars up a tone!! In 2006 at the moment by the way.
Regards

Transpositions are selection-specific. I have not done exactly what you are trying to do but I've had success transposing complete staves with the following script: Select staff 1 - 3 instrument transposition Bb
I also experimented with selecting just one measure of one staff & was able to do it with: select staff 1 select measure 4
However, I could not get it to transpose just that measure. Hopefully someone else's input will help solve that piece of the puzzle, if Finalescript is capable of it.

I am on a Mac, and so far Finalescript has steadfastly ignored that command, I shall have to look into it some more.
