Date Joined Feb 2006 Total Posts : 175 | Posted 10/22/2016 9:51 PM (GMT -6) | | When I try to use the ARIA standalone player (installed by Finale V25.1) I get the following error dialogue:
init: Audio Engine Start Error Check Preferences. Maybe the current driver doesn't support this sample rate
The player does open after that... but no sound. I have tried every combination of preferences, same thing.
ARIA Player v1.872 ARIA Engine v1.877
Running Windows 10/AU on a Dell XPS13
Anyone have a clue on this?

No, not ASIO. Can you suggest one for Windows 10? I'm a bit rusty on this.
By the way, this problem appears to have developed after the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
It worked fine, previous to that!
If you Google asio4all, there are a number of download sites. I do not recommend this for regular Finale; just try it on the standalone Aria and see if it works.
