Does anyone know how to change fonts in text blocks using Finale script.

I want to change ALL parts of a piece's Titles to a different font at once using Finale script.

Any ideas?

Thanx

It seems I got it to work! Check out my genius:

//Process all open docs
page view
menu item "Font Utilities..."
check "Search for*"
button "Select..." near "Search for*"
type "Times New Roman" near "Font"
type "33" near "Size"
hit "Ok"
button "Select..." near "Replace*"
type "Papyrus" near "Font"
type "33" near "Size"
hit "Ok"
hit "Ok"
Selection Tool
End
---------------------------------------------------------
EXPLANATION:

//Process all open docs Enabling this line is useful if you want this script to change all open part's titles in one go
page view

menu item "Font Utilities..." (This calls the 'Font utilities menu' from the 'Documents'---->'Data Check' menu)

This proc searches for a specific font (including bold and size etc - you can specify it in the first part of the proc):
In my case my music's Title text was in 'Times New Roman' Size '33'
check "Search for*"
button "Select..." near "Search for*"
type "Times New Roman" near "Font"
type "33" near "Size"
hit "Ok"

Which I want to change to 'Papyrus' font with the same size

button "Select..." near "Replace*"
type "Papyrus" near "Font"
type "33" near "Size"
hit "Ok"
hit "Ok"
Selection Tool
End

This is a pretty decent proc provided that only your title matches the search criteria otherwise other textboxes in your part will also change into the Papyrus font.
Hope this makes sense.

I used this simple script. The "type" commands in Hans' script wouldn't work for me. The script below is basically right out of the Finale script Help accessed from within Finale 2010. You will, of course, use the names of the fonts in your affected document.

Process Folder
Search [Shelley Allegro script] 30 fixed replace [Arkona Regular] 27 fixed
Save
Close

The "type" command works for me in any kind of opened window.
This is why I am so intrigued why it can't type full text in a text box, where you have to tell it to press letter by letter to write the text.
