I just started using F2004 over the weekend, and it is awful. The company's excuse that it has not included support for EPS file generation because of features in Mac OS X certainly doesn't hold water. Sibelius has always done that in its OS X version. So what gives? After making us wait for months, surely we had every reason to expect a full-featured version of the software. For those of us that work in music publishing, the PDF workaround doesn't help a bit. My publisher requires EPS files, so I guess I'm screwed. (Back to Classic mode) Plus, twice now, the program has caused kernel panic in my computer, necessitating a hard reboot. What a waste of money and time.

As already mentioned in other threads, please write to us directly at macsupport@makemusic.com if you are experiencing crashes or problems with Finale. Only when we are notified of these issues directly can we document and address them. If you do write to macsupport regarding a crash or kernel panic, please be sure to include exactly what you were doing in the software when it crashed, any error messages that occurred, and your system specifications (ie processor, RAM, HD, etc).

I would also like to point out that in all our beta and internal testing of Finale Mac 2004, I'm not aware of any kernel crashes, and have yet to receive a phone call or email from a finale 2004 user experiencing such a problem. If you experience any kind of problem, direct contact to tech support is the quickest way to resolve the issue, and when doing so providing specific details will be vital to figuring out why the program might be working differently for you.
