Apologies; I feel I should know the answer to this, but I can't find it mentioned specifically anywhere.
I just took delivery of my Fin25 upgrade, and I'm ready to install. Although I realise it isn't strictly necessary, I'm in the habit of uninstalling previous versions of Finale before upgrading. Can anyone confirm that, as in previous years, the "upgrade" version of Finale is in fact a complete programme install, and doesn't require the existence of an earlier version in order to upgrade?

TIA

Gareth

Yes, it's a separate program. You can have Finale 2012, 2014, 2014.5 and Finale 25 all on the same computer, if you wish.

Assuming you use the default locations, music files and customized libraries and other such files reside within each version's program directory, so I believe you need to copy these to a new location to avoid deleting them before you remove the old versions.

Good point, thanks, but I don't use default locations.
