Since posting this I found out that the default algorithm is hard-coded and that the template needs to be made or one just lets the program do it its way and then one can Mass Move later. PB I made a violin solo template. One staff as you see on violin parts that accompany the piano part. I opened the default maestro template.FTM and modified it. Then put it back into the general templates folder saving it as Violin Solo.FTM. I tightened up the distance between staves to.350 allowing 8 systems on the first and 9 on the 2nd and third. I used fit music to change the bars to lock them at 4 each system. When adding measures without setting up page 2 and 3, the program creates only 8 systems and goes back to 3 bars each. Can one just create a single page and then instruct the program to continue to use 4 bars each and fill up the page with evenly spaced systems (9 up of 4 bars)each? It will work to have 3 pages prepared but I am wondering whether the defaults of 7 systems and 3 bars each is hard coded into the program or what. I am using print music.
