I use Garritan Personal Orchestra 5 and I have just installed Finale 25.
I am having difficulty getting the new Finale to recognise the GPO5.
(That is, using the old directions)
Am I missing something here?
Sion

Probably.  This is for Windows, so I defer to a Mac expert for the correct directory names.

A couple of things:

The old directions are not yet updated to 64 bit directory structure.  "Program Files (x86)" S/B "Program Files".

The directory name for Finale is now "Finale", not "Finale 2014.5"

Hi Sionbach

There is a KB article here
However, I would first talk to MM customer support. They've not yet updated the KB with details for Finale 25.
If youre willing to try though, look to the instructions for Finale 2014.5
The KB talks about looking for "/Library/Application Support/MakeMusic/Finale 2014.5" in the finder.
I think that the actual directory should be "/Library/Application Support/MakeMusic/Finale" or "/Library/Application Support/MakeMusic/Finale 25"
If either of those directories come up in the finder, then it should be OK to proceed with the destructions. If neither come up, someone more familiar with the directory structure on the mac should step in and correct me, or you should wait until you can get someone from MM/Garritan to clear things up for you.

Cheers...

Same trouble for me, but with GPO4 and JABB3.

Followed the updated KB as detailed here: /makemusic.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/217663758-Setting-up-Garritan-libraries-with-Finale-and-PrintMusic

Can't get Aria / Garritan to show up in devices, score manager, etc. It's as if they don't even exist..

Hi Thomas

Did you follow the 2nd step and Update the Aria Player, then configured Aira for your app?

Finale 25 is 64 bit and as such will not load 32 bit vst or AU instruments. GPO and JABB, until recently, used a 32 bit player only. You *really* need to upgrade Aria before continuing to the specifics of each library.

Cheers...

Hi Daz:

Yes - I did update to the latest version of Aria. I'm at the "maybe I should do a fresh install" phase....
