Is there a way to have a different measure numbers setting for different staves? Say, for example, I'd like the drums part to have measure numbers every bar but the rest of the parts just at the beginning of the staff.

I use Finale 2011 (my newly purchased 2014 is cast to the naughty corner as it doesn't pair up well with my sampler, the playback woes continue...).

I suppose that you are not talking about the different staves in the score, but rather about the linked parts, right?

Normally you would have the same measure number settings in all the linked parts - and perhaps different measure number settings in the score.
Finale can do that - as you probably already know.

To make one of the linked parts (e. g. the drum part) display measure numbers every bar, use a workaround:

- in the drum part, use a custom staff style to hide the measure numbers at the beginning of the staff.
You may have to edit the measure number region so that the region does not force measure numbers to show on the Top Staff in the linked parts.

- enter the measure numbers every bar as expressions - use the expression type Rehearsal Mark, with the rehearsal mark style <Measure Number>.

In the Measure Tool, highlight the staff and in the menu select Show Measure Numbers. This will show all the numbers for that staff in the score and the part.
