I am new to Finalescript and would like some advice (instructions) on how to create a macro for automatically changing the main beat in a new time signature while in Hyperscribe Mode. In other words, if I am recording some music from my MIDI keyboard in 4/4 time (quarter note gets the main beat) and decide to insert a measure of 12/8, is there a way of making Finale recognize this different pattern (dotted quarter note is now assigned the new main beat)? Currently, I have to manually enter the note value through the "Hyperscribe Menu-Beat Source-Play and/or Click" option. In a composition that contains many alterations of meter, this method can become quite labor intensive.

Thanks...Rich
