Is there a reason that the microphone with the 1/8" input won't work on Apple Computers? The documentation says that it won't work because the computers don't have a microphone input. I'm not sure about the desktop models or the MacBook Air, but the MacBooks all have 1/8" mic inputs.

Thanks!

Not sure about that, but the USB mics have been rock solid for my students with macs.

The mic input on a Macbook is line level. This means that some sort of amplifier is needed in order to make the signal work. They do make these if you already have mini-stereo plug mics. If you don't have mics, I would suggest going the USB route.
