This script is a quick fix for the long-time bug in Finale in which Finale does not keep user preferences--manuscript texture, in this case. I use it often to bring back the white manuscript color I prefer, not Finale's default sandy/tan color.

Reset Background

Menu item “program options”
list “palettes and backgrounds”
click radio “solid color” near “Manuscript Texture”
click OK
close
