Perhaps a sticky topic on the forum would be an appropriate place to note the latest blog posts; that way, there is also one central repository on the forum for the blog updates. NO!!!!!! ... Please no more stickies. In fact, PLEASE lose some of the current ones. They appear on every page of the forum listings, taking up a significant amount of space on every page, even though us regulars have seen them over and over, time after time, on (did I mention?) every page. It's worse than the occasional SPAM we get, which is not on every page - because day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year, we have to wade through this sort of stuff ...
on every page.
So PLEASE, less stickies - and preferably only on the first page of each forum, not on every page!

My suggestion would be to make a normal thread where just add on a new post each time there is a new blog post; make it non-commentable (I assume you can do that) so that it stays reasonably short, and start a new thread when it gets to more than one page. That way it will come to the top once a week, which makes it reasonably visible, without permanently adding to the clutter.
I second Fritz's idea. Thank you, Justin, for removing some of those stickies. Arthur J. Michaels

However, the shorter sticky list is nice. I'll try to put together a NPL list, and post it on my tips page. Mike Rosen www.specialmillwork.com

In essence, a Finale "community" site instead of isolated forums and blog etc. Jive is a great platform for this sort of thing, I hope MakeMusic is considering it as an option for a replacement forum package. | Back to Top | | Forum Information | Currently it is Tuesday, December 19, 2023 7:58 PM (GMT -6) There are a total of 403,820 posts in 58,165 threads.
