I scanned in a piece to Windows Finale 2011.   Scans much better than old versions!  But on playback, the click track changes from quarter notes to eighth notes or sixteenth notes depending on which rhythms are in that particular measure.  a good solid quarter-note click would work better for practicing.

Dig, man, the click changes speed from measure to measure.  No tempo changes are indicated in the score.  The change is an even multiple:  1/4,  1/8, 1/16 and then back again.   Never seen this before, been using Finale for years.

So, you are saying that the overall tempo changes? Remove all tempo indications, and even check to make sure that there aren't any MIDI tempo changes that snuck in there, and then re-enter the tempo indications. Things like this are the reason that most of us on this forum find it easier to just enter music by hand from scratch, rather than to scan it in. Unless the chart is super simple, there always seem to be too many things to try to fix, and it would be easier and more accurate to do it by your own hand. The easiest method, of course, is to get a buddy to enter it by his/her hand.
