I know there's a way ... just can't remember! I need just one huge time signature across the grand staff ... I can get it where it displays pretty good .... but I can't get the 4/4 or 3/4 etc. to be taller and thinner (every time signature's dream). :) I've re-sized the time font to a whopping 80 point petrucci font, and then played with the offsets for top number, bottom number, but it ends up too fat and the numbers don't touch. Anyone know the magic answer? Thanks!!

Jeff,
The Engraver Time font has the tall and thin meter numbers you are looking for. It has been included with recent versions of Finale (since F2K or so). I rarely use the large meter signatures, but it doesn't take too much experimenting to get them lined up properly with this font.
Good luck.

Maybe if you try the engraver time font,
there is a character set for this usage.

To add another option, a Coda Tech gave directions and an example for one way to get bigger time signatures in a thread titled “How to get a bigger tempo signature.” Search using “tempo signature” and this, and several other threads, will come up.
