When entering chords using type into score method you should be able to create a new chord if the chord you need isn't present. Currently you can only do this with manual input. The same dialog boxes that appear when using manual input should be present when you are using type into score.

What version are you using? When I use Type Into Score for chords and I enter a chord that is not in the library, I get a prompt stating "Could not find chord suffix 'mja7'. Would you like to add it to the chord suffix library?" If I select Yes, I then get the Chord Suffix Editor and I can enter the chord into the library. Of course, if I really typed "mja7" (as I have often done) I would select No.

One "Type Into Score" for chords suggestion that I have forwarded to Coda for the past several versions is that it should work the same way as it does for lyrics. For chords the Delete key moves the user back to the previous note and for lyrics the Backspace key does. This difference is unnecessary and confusing. Coda, why not give both keys this function in lyrics and chords? That way there will be no complaint from users who prefer one way or the other, and I won't mumble nasty things about you every time I push the Backspace key in chords.

I am using 2002.
My scenario is this...
I use the :0 method to get to the suffix page to choose the one I want. (when I don't know the number from memory or have a print out handy) When I find that the suffix I need isn't in the library I do not have the option to create one from this screen.
