Downloaded version 9.0 yesterday but now can't read any music on screen - either music on screen with accompaniments nor method books nor exercises. The error message is "Finale Viewer. Handle invalid" At best I get note stems, at worst, manuscript paper or nothing.
This worked OK in version 8.5 - ie the exercises or methods displayed on screen correctly
I don't have Finale but do I have to have it to use this feature?

Usually this means you just need to restart the computer. After installing, the fonts often don't appear until after restarting the computer.

If you uninstalled anything after installing SmartMusic, it may have taken the fonts with it. You can either reinstall SM 9.0 and restart, or download and install the fontpack from the support >> downloads page at www.finalemusic.com.

Windows XP, all updates

Thanks for that. I actually did 2 things - I installed the free Finale notepad download & then I also restarted the computer & everything seems fine now.
