I have never used or written a Finale script. Can someone show me how to do this with a script? I am trying to find the fastest way to take a part and use it's rhythm to create rhythmic hits in a drum part.

Copy lead part (layer 1) to drum part (layer 1)
Move layer 1 notes in drum part to layer 4
Single pitch plug-in to change all notes in drum part to G5
Reduce note size to 75% (or whatever size you want)
Move rests plug-in-7 steps (this puts the rests above the staff)
Stem direction-up
Tie direction-over

Thanks.

Thanks. Did you get a chance to try it? I used it again the other day. I saves a lot of time. I am glad I took the time to learn how to program this. It was worth the effort. Finale script has so much potential. It is a shame that Makemusic doesn't have a quickstart video to help everyone learn how to use scripts. Thankfully, there is enough info about it in the help file so, if you are willing to spend some time with it, you can create some very powerful, time saving scripts. What used to take a very long time, is now one keystroke! Thank you Makemusic for giving us a way to do things faster without having to buy third party plugins or macro programs.
