I've been a Mac user for years, it got me through the last four years during my undergrad. Finale worked perfectly, and the support for pinch-to-zoom was fantastic. However, the recent issues with Finale and El Capitan has made me question my allegiance to the Mac. So the big question:
Has anyone tried to use Finale 2014 on the Surface Pro 3 (since the 4 isn't out quite yet) and been successful?
While I realize that Finale isn't optimized for touchscreen devices, with the Surface running a full Windows 10 OS, I know that it at least has the capability to run the program. I tested the program tonight on my friend's device, and I was quite thrilled with the responsiveness.
If anyone has any input, or would like to tell me that I should stick with the MacBook Pro and iPad Air that I currently have, please do.....THANKS!

So, if tablet use is a primary need, the Surface may be the way to go. Mike Rosen www.specialmillwork.com

Use Staffed on a Surface for inputting and capturing ideas when you're not at your desk. Then import to Finale on my iMac via xml for making everything pretty on Finale. Have you tried this? Does it work for you? Dave | Back to Top | |
