Dell might be able to give you a better answer, since it depends on what software you have on your computer.

Generally, go to the Windows Start button >> All Programs, and look for something that has the word CD in it. You might see Roxio CD creator or Adaptec Easy CD Creator - it just depends on what software came with the Dell.

Once you find and open that software, there will probably be instructions which guide you through the process. It will probably ask if you are trying to burn a music CD that can be played in an ordinary CD player or if you are trying to make a data CD (like backing up files for your computer).

If this doesn't help, go ahead and contact Dell directly. Let them know which model of computer you have and they should be able to help.

Windows XP, all updates
