This is a post I just added as a comment in the new help centre. The user was complaining that no matter how many linked parts ere checked, only one would be printed. As I'm suspicious about the new help centre, I'll post it here too:
"Hi Erik, I was about to report a similiar error. The difference is that no matter how many files I check to be printed only two will be printed. This happened yesterday in 2014.5 and with the same file in my newly dowloaded Finale 25. I just tried another older file: same problem. This is the first time I've tried printing linked parts using Windows 10 so I downloaded the newest driver for my Samsung ML2955DW printer. Still the same problem. Just tried exporting the file to Finale 2012. Still the same problem. Each time just two parts will be printed."
Any ideas anyone??

There is a solution to this problem.

I spent $250 to solve this issue and offered to share this with Finale. I have had no reply. I would point out that my exchanges with them were not good.

I am sure that Finale tech now has the solution. If they do not they know where to get it.

this is due to a recent Microsoft security update. Uninstall it and printing works as expected:

Thanks nordensten,

Be sure to look under the grouping "Microsoft Windows (nn)" where nn is the number of updates.  This grouping is near the bottom, so you can avoid searching in the wrong places.

Microsoft does say that this file is needed before future security updates can be installed. (I mis-spoke about this.) Also, Windows updates will eventually ask you to install this update again as it will be recognized as one you don't have. At that point you can hide it.

P.S.: I'm curious as to what cost $250.

P.P.S.: I just tried printing 3 linked documents parts from the same file and it printed all 3. Maybe this only happens when choosing the files from the folder before Finale is opened. I guess I would need to test what others are testing.

Was that before or after removing the update?

I have the update installed. I did so on August 10. Even the Microsoft website article says it may cause the printing problem, so maybe it only affects some systems.

Experiencing similar problem: only two pages print, whether same part or different part. Searched for Windows 10 update to remove, per instructions, but found update numbered KB3176495, not KB3176493 (difference in last digit). Removed it anyway, but it did not help (i.e., same problem).

@pdxdave38 - that's very strange - I've only been running Windows 10 since July 22nd and I don't have the KB3178495 that you mention. I did remove KB3176493 and it solved the problem.
@zuill - since I've survived for years always extracting linked parts before printing them (because I was too lazy to figure out a way to enter cues so they won't be shown in the score! - don't worry, in the meantime I think I have), I'm going to keep the automatic update system for Windows and let it reinstall KB3176493. I'm assuming that MakeMusic will find a way to get the multiple linked-parts print to work even with the aforesaid update. Given that I don't have any large scores to print till October, if there is no Finale 25 update by then, I'll just set aside time to uninstall the Windows update again. Of course the problem also affected 2012 and 2014.5 so it would seem sensible for MakeMusic to make Microsoft aware of the problem and make Microsoft fix Windows!!

Checking Microsoft for the Windows 10 update I have (with the "5" at the end, not "3" - which was re-installed automatically after I removed it), I see the warning: "After you apply this security update and you print multiple documents in succession, the first two documents may print successfully. However, the third and subsequent documents may not print." That's exactly what I'm finding...with finale, but not, for instance, printing 3 documents in one command from Windows Explorer, which works fine. I haven't tried it on other applications or printers.
I'm thinking the version of Windows I now have has the earlier update now embedded so I can't remove it.
So somebody (Microsoft/MakeMusic) needs to make a move; I would think this would be a rather vital issue to a lot of users; it certainly is to me.

Does that update affect SPLWOW64.EXE? In many cases, that is where print jobs go to die.
I'm supposed to be working now, so I can't look it up without being too obvious!

I found splwow64.exe in C:\Windows\ and another copy in
"C:\Windows\WinSxS\amd64_microsoft-windows-printing-spooler-core_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.14393.0_none_03c00e9cd83b697d\splwow64.exe"
Both are dated 7/16/2016 4:42 AM. Note directory name includes 10.0.14393, the version of Win 10 I'm running.
