Is there a way to lower the volume of the built in Finale Click?
I blew a NS-10M tweeter, and my ears rang for an hour the first time I clicked hyperscribe :(

Fortunately I found how to turn down the master gain for each 'VSTi plugin' and get all that optimized with my sound cards and amp/monitors....but I can't seem to find this gain control for the built in metronome click.

So...I've gone in and set up a MIDI based metronome where I can control the sounds and volume it clicks with, but there are times I really could use the built in clicker. Is there a way to turn down its volume independently of everything in the plugin rack?

There is a known issue that the controls do not apply to the Finale Click. I have informed MM about this and it appears they have refused to address it. So, using MIDI is the only option to get the control you want. Send your complaint to MakeMusic so maybe they will think I'm not the only one who notices these things. They're probably tired of hearing my bug reports, but I press on.

The Finale Click is just a short audio file (aif). You can probably just back it up somewhere and then created an edited version that is softer.

Thanks Zuill, that's a great idea!
Now I just have to find the aiff file and replace it with my own sample, but that shouldn't be too difficult :)
