I have written a short piece for flute. My 42 bars appear on two pages with a total of 11 staves: 8 on the first page and 3 on the second. How can I move same staves from de first to the second page ? Many thanks for helping me, Geneviève

Go to the page layout tool, right click on the first system you want to move and insert a page break. You can also have Finale do it automatically by making the system margins larger, so fewer fit on a page. The latter is my preferred method.

Or, in the Page layout tool, select the option to space staves evenly, and place 6 staves per page (This even works in PM and SW)

I usually avoid the space evenly option because it puts systems too close to the bottom of the page. I prefer a ragged bottom look.

I don't think that 6 staves will cause that problem. But even if it does, the OP can go back and manually move the bottom staves.

It has worked, I have now a marvellous score.
Finally I choosed the space evenly option. I suppose with the page break I made a mistak,e but the staves did'nt fill my pages.
Thanks a lot to both of you, Geneviève

Depends how you set the System Margins (and indeed the Page Margins).

Traditionally, music should fill the print area, and a spread can look awkward if each page has the music 'finishing' at different heights.

May be I was not clear in my explanations, but now my two pages are both filled equally. Geneviève
