Hello Guys,

I don't remember how to write two groups with 10 notes each ( all 16-ths) within a 4/4 bar.
I tried to write them as triplets but it is not triplets. Just simple 16-ths.
I attached the page where that bar number 111 is. Both hands play the same thing, those 20 notes.
Maybe you can help me and let me know how I could do that.
Thank you so much!

I think that the best way , in Simply Entry, would be using the Simply Entry Tuplet Definition:

1) Enter first 16th note.

2) Then, Alt+9 and in the opening window you can define whatever tuplet you want.

Best

for 4 tuplet groups with 5 semiquavers per group:

Press Ctrl 5 :: play in the five notes as semiquavers

Repeat this for the other tuplet groups.

Sounds like Marius wants 10 16ths in the space of 2 quarters, all beamed together.

Yes, Motet, exactly. I need to write 10 16-ths in the space of 2 quarters, all beamed together.

Thank you guys, I will try to do so.

Suso's instructions for Simple entry seem good. In Speedy entry, type Ctrl-1, set up the tuplet, then enter your 10 16ths.

I did it in Simple, 5 sixteenths in the space of 4. Then, I used the / key to change the grouping.

As long as you're hiding the numbers. Otherwise, two "5"'s on one beam is not good.

It finally worked. I used Shift and mouse left side...and I had to check some box that I didn't check before.
One small detail missed and it had not worked.

Thank you guys! Thank you very much! Now I have the score.

Ps. However, it didn't connect all 10 notes with one stem, I have 4 groups of 5 notes each.
I needed two groups of 10 but this doesn't work for now. I will experiment more.

I've never understood all these special key-clicks and convolutions. Look at the picture I attached. It's as easy as 1, 2, 3. 1. Enter 1/16 note. 2. Click on tuplet tool. 3. Define the tuplets. Beaming, etc. all correct. No fuss, no muss.

That's essentially what Suso suggested above, except with Alt+9 instead of clicking the icon. Doesn't seem like a convolution, especially if you're not using the mouse for entry.

I agree about Suso's suggestion, but then we went on to discussions about Ctl-5 keys and different beaming problems and the like which, to my mind, only serve to confuse the issue.
