I am under the impression that Finale is really geared towards Classical composers and Engravers. As someone who is constantly trying to make quick lead sheets, or even just sketches, I've never felt like Finale was much interested. The 2010 independence of chord symbols was a major step forward for me. But I still have issues with chord symbols (big issues - that, as they say, "have been sent to the developers" I like to define and show chords in a certain manner, that none of the default fonts really addressed. So, step by step, I've been creating my own chord selection box - defining and creating my own chord symbols (with JazzText). I then save each new piece that I've created as the LS template. It wears on you after a while (a week... or should I say since I first got Finale 3.5).

I'm just interested if my theory is correct, that Finale is playing mostly to the "Legit." music crowd. I have a feeling Sibelius would probably be better for me.

I'm going to try to use this "polling" function at the bottom. It didn't work last time, but here goes...
