I've been trying to import my House Document Style by following the steps I've always followed: duplicating the document style file from the old folder and putting the duplicate in the current Document Styles folder.

After a couple attempts and Finale restarts (which are blazing fast now, comparatively!!!) my document style is still not showing up in the wizard like it did for the past couple iterations of Finale. Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong?

Many thanks.

My first guess would be that you put the Document Style file in the wrong Document Styles folder.

There are two (almost) identical Finale folder hierarchies.

One resides in your Mac OS X user account.

The other Finale folder hierarchy resides in the Mac OS X System Library folder.
This folder hierarchy contains some program specific items, and it also serves as a “default backup” in case Finale can not find the corresponding folder(s) in your user account.

Turns out it needs to be a document created – or at least saved – with the new Finale. All fixed.
