I have a 4 part choral piece with a flute obbligato.  Somehow in all of my foramatting, I have made a mess of the stave heights.  I prefer that the staves which have all 4 parts & the flut obbligato be the same height and the staves which have just one part and the flute obbligto be one height.  I've tried to measure the distance between each staff in a system, and go by that, but transferring it onto the screen, I'm just not getting it right.

Is there a better way to get the staves to be the exact same between each without manualy adjusting them.  I could start from scratch and copy and paste the whole piece to another file but I would lose so much of the formatting work of lyrics, etc. that I have done so far.

Any suggestions?freaked

Thanks so much!

If I understand you correctly, you are asking about two issues: 1) staff height, and 2) the vertical space between staves.

1) You can change the staff height with the Resize Tool (% icon).
Click inside the staff, and you should see the dialog box Resize Staff.

2) The vertical space between staves is called the staff spacing.
You can change the staff spacing with the Staff Tool:
Staff menu > Respace Staves...

Consult the User's manual, under the staff tool, for "Staff Usage List dialog box". I have a feeling this might be just what you are looking for.
