Just to let everyone know that MM support staff have bene knocking themselves out to address the 25.1 update issue with Windows 7. They have put a new update installer on the downloads page.

I just tried it out and everything worked as it should.

Finale 25

GPO5, JaBB3, GIO, COMB2, GWI, GIFF, Steinway Basic.

Windows 7; 10 GB RAM.

That's good news. How does the size of the updater compare to the previous one? I'm guessing they recompiled to link in static code instead of using the DLL.

The file is 323 MB--about two minutes to download for me. The previous one was about the same size.

Just curious: would this have anything to do with trying to install 25 and having it crash not only that version but the other three previous versions of the program on my computer? I am now headed in to hour 3 of trying to resolve this. Support has no solutions. I am unsintalling both 25 and 2014.5 and reinstalling the latter.
