Hi,
This is a minor issue for me, but is anyone else finding that when inputting a name into the the "lyricist" position in a new document using the Set Up Wizard that it is not printing out on the document or any of the parts? I have no problems with the other fields in the list, (Title, subtitle, arranger, etc.) This problem has been in Finale 2011 and 2012b for Windows, at least. I can't remember if it was also in 2008 for Windows. I just need to add it separately after the document is created. I thought it might be fixed in the new version, but it doesn't seem to be.

I've not had that problem. Would you post a file with this odd behavior for examination?

Zuill

P.S.: I think I know what's happening. Just because you enter something in that place in the Wizard does not mean it will be in the score. You still need to enter the Lyricist placeholder, as the default document doesn't enter the placeholder for you. Create a Text Block and use the menu item Insert, and choose Lyricist. Position the block where you want it. The information will show up where the Lyricist placeholder is selected.

If you always want a lyricist, add the text box to the Document Style file that you choose in the Setup Wizard, or your default file. Then it will always be in all new documents.

Thanks, Zuill, and Wiggy. I don't know how to post a file, so instructions on how to do that would be very helpful. I will try your suggestions, though, and see if I can get that to work. I appreciate your help!

Rather than typing your answer into the Quick Reply field, use the Post Reply button (just above the Quick Reply.) That takes you to a different reply screen. Just below that screen, you will see a button for Attachment Manager. It should be self explanatory from there!

Thanks!
I love your signature, by the way. It just shows that musicians can be good at a lot of things! When I was working, I was known as their "singing chemist".
