Is there any easy way to clear all clef changes from an entire piece? I'm looking for one global change, not putting in the clef for each staff.
I can't find Clefs in Clear Selected Items, and there doesn't seem to be a "default clef" option in Clef Selection dialog.

Clef Tool; go to measure one, select the desired clef and specify "From Measure 1 to End of Piece". I'm not sure there is another way.

Heh heh - another way might be to export to XML and then reimport into Finale. My experience with XML is that clef changes are usually blown away - but usually in files originating in Sibelius.

To be fair, my experience with XML is limited. All that's necessary is a good proofing - it is a huge time saver, the errors being fairly limited in scope.

How many staves do you have? Even on a full orchestra score, it wouldn't take more than a minute.

Clef tool, click in the margin beside the staff to select the entire staff. Hit the 1 key for treble, 4 for bass, 2 for alto, and 6 for treble 8vb clef (I use it for tenor voices). If you forget the metatool assignments, right-click Select Clef and they will all appear. You can shift-click to select more staves and do them all at once. In fact, for an orchestra score, I would change EVERYTHING to treble, then go in and switch the bassoons, trombones, tuba, percussion, violas, cellos and basses manually. Less than 60 seconds, I guarantee.

Ah, yes, the metatools do make it a bit quicker. Thanks.

You can even do several staves at once by selecting them with the selection tool before right-clicking (where you have several consecutive treble-clef staves, for example). Typing Alt-A (or Mac equivalent) in the dialog will save you from clicking "to the end of the piece."
