I'm trying to change the exercise title by using the text block "ID: 2" and just wondering if this can be done?

I know it could possibly be done through menu item "Edit text..."which I tried, but the script causes the first ID: 1 text to tab down until I stop the script...meaning the "Edit text..." window does open up but I can't get the script to select the the "up arrow slider button"...

Any help would be appreciated

You may have more success using text search and replace.

Text search and replace would find the box and delete the text and not replace it unfortunately for me...so trying to find another work around...

Thanks for the reply though...

Odd!  This script worked OK for me on F2014a.

search "This is a text" replace with "This was a test"

Odd true, I tried that but it deletes the text and doesn't replace...I copied straight from the Finalescript help manual so its not any code entry error on my part...

I've reinstalled the whole program but the scripts are still limited on what scripts work and what don't e.g dropdown / drop down doesn't work either etc..

Thanks for your reply...

Could you post your script. I have seen this behavior when there is an open quote in the search and replace format.

All of the scripts are temperamental by the way...even the pre-installed scripts...sometimes they work, majority they don't, my Finale crashes all the time :( even after the re-install
