Hi

I'm presently working on a guitar songs and I would like to know if it is possible to really have the up and down strokes playing on the playback. It seems that it's only playing the down strokes. I have put the articulations of the down and up strokes but still doesn't sound right. Can the up and down strokes be played correctly or it just the down strokes that we hear? I'm still using finale 2014.5

Thanks for your help

Up and down stroke articulation symbols can definitely be defined for effective playback. I suggest using -128/256 to 0, or 0 to 128/256 EDU as appropriate [for top to bottom, bottom to top notes] for the tempo and your preferences for having them played before or on the beat.

Hi Benjamine

I don't quite understand that procedure. I have put these figure 128/256 to the change attack, Change duration, change velocity. but nothing seems to be correct. I have attached the sheet that I'm working on and if you look at the first measure I had put the up and down stroke articulations. May be you can correct them for me and then I will be able to see exactly how we do it. You can send me the file back at my email address germaint@outlook.com.

Your help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

The up and down symbols had the same definitions in your sample. Check out the definitions in the attachment.
