I am struggling to get SmartMusic to work on my school's Wifi, for two new iPads I purchased. I manually set up the proxy under the Wifi settings, and am able to successfully connect to the internet, and download apps from the App Store. I have both iPads pinned as practice rooms, and can search for music online. However, when I try to download any accompaniments, it says "Error downloading content." I have referred to the article "SmartMusic requirements on a school network" and added all listed websites to the safe list, under the General Settings > Restrictions. I am not sure what I am missing, and neither is our tech person, because most of the rest of the directions are for a computer and I'm not sure what else I need to do to an iPad to get past the proxy. I also tried turning of the web restrictions (even though I would prefer those on when checking out the iPads to students), but it didn't make a difference.

SmartMusic does not prompt me for my username or password; I also tried automatic proxy in the wifi settings, which still worked for the internet, but got the same response from SmartMusic (again, no prompting for a username/password). I also looked in my preferences on my school laptop, to see what other sites were listed to bypass the proxy and added those to my safe list as well...no change. SmartMusic tech support told me it was my school network's problem, not the SmartMusic app, but didn't give me any pointers or anything else to look at that I may have missed in setting up the network or other iPad settings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
