I want to create a scale exercise in Finale for Smartmusic.
The rhythm i'm wanting is crotchet, quaver, quaver, quaver, quaver, quaver, quaver, crotchet.
The Finale exercise wizard does not have this as an option (or one that I can see).
The articulation would be to only slur the quavers. Again, I do not see this as an option.

The purpose of this is to create the Trinity Guildhall exam scales for my students and for them to be able to access them in smartmusic.

Please advise/help.

Thank you

Hi.

If you have finale you can write out yourself. That's what I did because I didn't like the scale set-up.

I wrote my own out as well, and that works well if all your students use a computer for SmartMusic. Unfortunately, if they access SmartMusic through an iPad, the finale created files won't be available. I wish this would be fixed soon.

Hi Ignaszak,

We did release an update to the iPad app about a year ago that provides access to Finale created SMP files. The easiest way for students to use SMP files in the iPad app is for them to receive it as an assignment, however they'll also have the option of opening the file from an email or an online storage app like DropBox.
